EREBB CONGRESS

From 2nd – 6th October 2016, our Principal, Patricia Ponce de León and our National Baccalaureate Coordinator, Ximena Beyhaut, took part in both immersions and in the Edmund Rice Education Beyond Borders Congress in Kolkata, India. More than 200 participants from almost 300 Schools and social organisations attended the event.
The Congress dealt with issues such as EREBB’s history, its initiatives and future projects.
There are three fundamental aspects in the charism of the Christian Brothers, inherited from Edmund Rice’s life and work: Presence, Compassion and Liberation. Such three pillars were naturally present throughout the whole Congress.
Six action areas were given priority: developing our identity, transformational education, a voice for justice, effective communication, training for mission and inspirational leadership.
